AI Planner — a free Apple Reminders alternative

Eisenhower matrix, screenshot → tasks, and a per-task AI agent — demo free for now

Apple Reminders is the right default for simple lists on iPhone, Mac, and Apple Watch — Siri, widgets, and Free forever for basic capture. AI Planner targets a different job: triage for people who live in Google Calendar, Slack, and the browser. A native Eisenhower matrix, drafts from screenshots and free text, voice parse, and an AI agent per card. Honest comparison for when Reminders is enough — and when it isn’t.

Who should try AI Planner instead of Apple Reminders

Managers and makers on Google Workspace or mixed OS setups who need urgent vs important visible, and who capture work from Slack threads and screenshots — not only grocery and personal errands. If Reminders lists feel flat when the day is chaotic, try the matrix. Demo is free for now.

When Apple Reminders is still the better fit

Stay with Reminders if you want zero-friction Apple-only capture: Siri, Watch complications, location alerts, and shared family lists. AI Planner is not trying to replace the OS reminders stack — it wins on prioritization and AI-assisted messy intake.

Using both

Keep personal errands in Reminders; park work triage in AI Planner. Screenshot a Messages or Slack thread into AI Planner when it needs a quadrant, not another checkbox.

FAQ

Is AI Planner a good Apple Reminders alternative?

If you need an Eisenhower matrix and AI drafts from text or screenshots — especially outside a pure Apple workflow — yes. Reminders remains better for Siri, Watch, and simple lists.

Does AI Planner work on iPhone?

AI Planner is browser-based, so it works in Safari on iPhone. It is not a native App Store app and does not integrate with Siri the way Reminders does.

Is AI Planner free?

Yes for now — demo/testing period with full access free. AI requests use a fair-use quota.

Can I sync AI Planner with Apple Calendar?

AI Planner syncs via CalDAV with Google Calendar and other CalDAV providers. Native EventKit / Apple Calendar deep sync is not the same as Reminders’ iCloud integration.
